We’ve got great experience in additive manufacture and can help you manage all aspects of your safety from air monitoring to ghost wipes of surfaces for metal particles.  We first got involved back in 2001 when polyamide powders were the only option!  Now we see aluminium (A20x / AlSi10Mg), nickel alloys (IN625 / IN718 H230 / IN939 / C263 / H282), titanium (Ti64) and stainless steel powders when supporting our clients using a range of equipment including those from EOS and Renishaw AM.

Additive Manufacturing Safety and Occupational Health

Our first exposure to additive manufacture was in 2001.  Since then we’ve acted to support a number of businesses, including Europes largest installed based of metal-based additive manufacture equipment.
Our skill set complements internal teams well with expertise in occupational health and hygiene allowing us to complete air monitoring for metal powders including nickel, aluminium and titanium and support linked biological monitoring to ensure long-term occupational health.
We can also support post-processing needs through noise monitoring, vibration assessment and risk management and more general COSHH and risk management support.

Since 1994 we’ve specialised in occupational health and occupational hygiene giving us great experience and exposure. Additive manufacture has its own special issues when we look at occupational health and hygiene.  From air surveys for metal powder exposure through to biological occupational health monitoring we can assist you in managing risk.  We can also conduct spot monitoring of the working environment to determine if metal powders are migrating through your workplace from the production to office and welfare areas.
