Swine Flu Survival Strategy
With the approach of what has now been classed as a pandemic should you be taking some steps to protect your business and your staff from Swine Flu?
Simple steps you can take
There are a few things which you could consider should the risk escalate;
- Buying in antibacterial sprays and wipes for keyboards, phones, conference desks and other places where many people may touch the same item.
- Buy some hand sanitisers for staff to use
- Making sure everyone is aware of the symptoms (flu like)
- Ensuring staff are aware that if you develop these symptoms the company may prefer you to work from home or take sickness absence than risk passing it on.
Disaster recovery planning
- Think about what you currently have in place and what might need to be improved.
- Could your business survive through teleworking?
- When was the last time you reviewed your disaster recovery plan?
- What about your key suppliers, do they have a disaster recovery plan?
Many clients already have a lot of tools which enable them to work from anywhere, from mobile broadband to blackberry’s. We shouldn’t need to put the above into action but it’s certainly a warm feeling to know that you have a plan of action should something go wrong.
